I hope everyone's studying, exams and other assorted papers and projects are going well. Keep on truckin'!
I thought I'd make a post to discuss when and where is best for everyone to gather for our annual fun and gift exchange that comes during this wonderful season of snow and wind. So far as I'm aware, everyone should be done and in town by afternoon on Dec 20th. Would the 21st or 22nd work well for a day? Perhaps early afternoon? As for a place, I can at least offer the option of my Mom's new awesome apartment for a gathering. Of course, everything is up for discussion! I just figure things might as well get going before we're all too bogged down with exams and unable to think about anything other than what John Stoltenberg wrote about in his article "How Men Have (A) Sex."

EDIT: So far, 21st and 22nd would work, although Kris will be working until 8 on both days which means something would have to turn into 'evening' and I'm getting the idea that afternoons work better. What about the 20th? I know Obsidian's back that morning and personally I'm back only the night before but something might be swingable. The 23rd also marks the disappearance of Kris for several days. There may be the option of doing things after the official day of Christmas, but I'm not sure what's happening with everyone. Thoughts?
EDIT2: So I recently spoke to my mom, and it seems that an evening thing might be workable on the 21st or 22nd if that works for everyone. I would just want to keep it a little tame, so the cutoff might have to be 10 which could pose some problems if Rubin's only off work at 9. Oh Kris, why can't you contract some sort of illness that lets you come in the afternoon? :P
Actually, 10:30 is about as late as it can swing. Is that going to be enough time for those who are working? Anyone else have a free home? Should we gather after official Christmas? How DO they get the caramel in the Caramilk bars?

Anywho! I'm back in town on the 16th, anyway, so the 21st or the 22nd would be perfect. I would love it if it's in the early afternoon, and if you don't mind me asking Twill, where's your mom's new apartment? If she does not mind opening up her home and hearth to us bunch again, I would love it to be there (And I would also love to see her again!).

Mom's new apartment is virtually across the street from old one. If you think where the strip mall is, and the community center/school, it's right in between that. So really, you're going to my Mom's old place but turning left instead of right. Yeah. I'll give better directions/an address if it ends up being there.
Yeah, I'm back on the 15th, to those that don't know already.
I am free any day up to the 24th. No idea what my sleep schedule will be like by then, so afternoon would probably be the best time to do this shindig.

I like the idea of the 20th.
On the 23rd, I fly out Victoria for 5 days.
And I really don't want to know what that is about. O____o;;
Also, I like afternoons and EVENINGS.
I'm good any day except the 23rd, and the 30th...
Meh... there never seems to be enough time...
Ah... the problem of conforming to everyone's schedules has once again resurfaced.
Well, I personally don't think it's fair to Twill or Obsidian to have the event right on the day they get back. If Kris has to work until 8 on the 21st or 22nd, then having the event at 9 maybe a solution (I should be done work by then anyway). Or else all afternoons after Boxing Day (excluding New Year's Eve/Day) workd fine for me.

If we do have it on the 20th, that'll mean I'll have to shop for your stuff over here in Kingston. And believe me, it's not going to be pretty. Not going to be pretty at all. I would like to look at your man sex book twill. Lend me the book before you lend it to duke. ha.
If we do have it on the 20th, I shall be severely tired, because I leave Kingston at 1:40 in the morning, have a 3 hours bus ride, have a 3 hour lay-in at the airport, have a 3 hour airplane ride, and so on, until I'm home. I shall not be an alert squirrel, but I can try I guess. I can damn well try.

I have final nutcracker performances on both the night of the 20th and 21st and dress rehearsals through the days. the 22nd is my first holiday day.
