Oh dear....

Scorpio, if you're at work right now, DO NOT CONTINUE READING!!!

Let me just say that Daniel Radcliffe's photos were..... interesting..... I'll be mulling it over when I have time... perhaps in my dreams..... But yes, to conquer with Natrix, he is ungodly pale...

On other notes, I love how you referred to the guys in your business group as "The hot". Also, "Chris" is a perfect hot guy name.... I DEMAND DETAILS!!!! TELL ME! TELL ME NOW!!!!!!!!! Pictures are even better.... but barring that, description! Height, build, hair colour, eye colour, distinguishing characteristics, celebrity resemblences!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GASP! The other day in my history lecture, my uber-handsome English prof used "chap"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry, but I've never heard of anyone else in MY LIFE use "chap" in casual conversation! It only highlights his to-die-for accent and his pure HANDSOME-IMITY!!!! HANDSOME-IMITY!!!

So ya, that's it for my update on my Hot Guy Escapades... Until next time!

So Much Flesh

He's little no more. It's Daniel Radcliffe, aka Harry Potter. Doing his thing, trying to distance himself from Harry, by appearing naked. But naked for a cause, in a play about his angst for horses. I totally think the Duke should add him to the argonauts. He's too pretty to do any heavy labour though.

Mr. Freeze plus Drama!

It's freaking cold here, and I must buy more winter jackets. All the girls here are surviving on parks and ugly ugg boots. I now want boots. I envy those that are immune to the weather. Haven't worn anything shortsleeved in a while. Must protect my arms. Can't afford to get sick again. Business class is very interesting, and stock market is screwing me over, and Apple is still disappointing. I have a group presentation next month, and the boys in my group are the Hot. And both are named Chris.

Had dinner with next-year's housemates. I'm living on the girls floor. There's 4 floors, and I'll be on the 2nd floor. There will be 2 washrooms, boys vs girls. No way am i sharing with a guy. My other friend has to share the 3rd floor with a guy. Oh the horror. Well, actually the situation is that two of the guys we're living with actually have crushes on the other two girls. I find the situation highly amusing. The girls obviously don't feel that way about them. Should I feel sad that the 3rd guy doesn't have a crush on me? No, because he is not the Hot. But he is nice. So I'll have him carry things for me. These guys are so nice, they'll just do whatever we want. Yay for accomodation.

Miss you people, got the soundtrack for Pan's Labyrinth, and the lullabye is haunting. Natrix, you must hum the lullabye. Hum it! Watched it the 2nd time with my friend, but she didn't get the complexities. It's hard to watch with people who don't understand anything and you have to explain. I mean if it was Star Wars, I would explain, but how hard is Star Wars anyway?

It is an awkward day when you find out ZELLERS won't hire you

To all who may be remotely interested:
SCorpio...who claimed for over three years that she could never get hired...has recently started working at Staples...on account of stores such as Safeway and Zellers weren't interested.
Ooooolay
Accordingly, I have also stopped going to school save for some lame bio class I'm taking (just to keep up appearances if you know what I mean).
So boo to those ugly corporations...I have paper clips and inkjet coming out of my ears without y'all
To Rubin: (god forbid i accidentally leave the blog open and someone glances at a few lines of your spiels...i shall desperately cry, "It was like that when i got here")

something something something..."and to all a good night"

Love from me

Like a Cinammon Dolce Latte from Starbucks, I'm promiscuously delicious!

Greetings all!

I should be doing homework.... but I'm not! BWAHA! So after a brief hiatus from the blog, I've returned.

The new semester is proving to be very interesting indeed. I heart my courses dearly and they're all taught by awesome profs (my chem prof kinda "meh", though). I'm very happy to report that hot guys are all about on campus and in my classes (looking for hot guys? stumble into a second year history class!!!) Also, I am very pleased to report that I have an awesome, VERY handsome and ENGLISH prof for European History (how appropriate!). He's from Sheffield and he's SO FUNNY. He spent all of last class dissing the various parts of England (notably Manchester) and he has an accent to DIE for!!! AGH!!! Plus he has killer fashion sense and has AMAZING outfits (my idol!!!).

Btw, Nyx, Alcazar = amazing^3. Yes... "Crying at the Discotheque" is very cheesy... but the chorus has now been embedded into my head forever!!! and "Menage à Trois"??? EFFING AWESOME!!!! Haha... so disasterously cheesy! BUT IT'S FRENCH!!! AND THAT'S ALL THE MATTERS!!!! PLUS! the two guys are pretty hot..... (mmm... delicieux).

Oh! One more to add to my list of Sexy Argonauts. Number 40 is Ryan Reynolds. Why? Deliciously well-cut and clean features, he's transformed from cutie (his days on "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place") to hunk (as can be attributed to the "Men's Health" magazine cover photos), and he's CANADIAN (BIG PLUS!!!). I think I just need one more to my list to start naming them! (Haha... Just kidding Twill, I wouldn't subject you to that pain...)

Hmm... what else??? Oh! to Obsidian: How dare you turn your back on the Housewives???! BAH!! I don't need you! AWAY WITH YOU!! AWAY!!!! Hope your roomates are uber-awesome... maybe all your roomates are beautiful people and then your household next year will become an episode of the "Real World". I can imagine it now... you wrestling one of your roomates to the ground and scratching his eyes out over some stupid/derogatory comment he made. Btw, a 15 minute walk is pretty damn close to campus, dudess. I'm glad that we both share that same sentiment

Take care y'all!

~Rubin

EDIT To Nyx: "Crying at the Discotheque" is now my new favourite song!!!
EDIT I'm please to announce Sexy Argonaut #41: Chip (Charles) Esten from "Whose Line is it Anyway?"

It's a Marshmallow World

Even though Christmas is gone, I can't help but sing the christmas carols a month too late. Oh well. I've pretty much found the house, which is like 15 minutes walk away, which everyone considers is too far, but oh well. Good exercise, and I'll get male chaperones to walk me hopefully.

Recovered from my bought of illness by the goodwill of all my friends here who gave me medicine. I hate being sick, it's just gah! Everyone thinks i've gone overboard with the stock game, but really Apple Computers is so disappointing, but I don't have the heart to jump ship yet, I hope when the iTV comes out next month, it'll go up again. But don't get me started on China Voip Communications. Screwing me over royally!

It's gone so extreme I'm actually reading the financial section of the newspaper. And I almost never did that before unless I was extremely bored. Hope everyone's doing well these past 2 weeks. The bangs are getting longer....

May I also recommend...

Talking to OB on MSN and sorta trading movie recs, she fixated on some scene in the movie she was recommending featuring extended male nudity, and sex in another film, Y Tu Mama Tambien (borne of me expressing interest in Children of Men's director's other films).

I was consequently reminded of a movie I'd seen recently, on a recommendation months old by now from a friend at school.

First, to Starwing: avoid this movie. In fact, if it is playing within 10 km of you, relocate, lol (but wait--I watched it early this week!). Not to diss you or anything, but if you were to sit in, you'd be hiding through 90% of the movie anyway. ;)

The movie is Shortbus. People probably know more about the scandal than the movie itself, the scandal being that it deals very heavily with sex, practically every stripe of it, and features unsimulated scenes of it--meaning, those actors really are enjoying themselves. :P

So why even recommend it? Because I thought it was pretty darned hilarious, and one of the most human films I've ever seen. Make no mistake, it's also fairly serious in what it explores, but much is lighthearted. Don't label it as porn--it doesn't really titillate so much as feel honest, goofy, and...human, I suppose. Not degrading in the least...but certainly, if occasional bodily fluids and odd positions are too much (which is quite understandable), avoid Shortbus at all costs. It's obviously not a movie you'd show to your parents either...not because I fear their freak out, but it'll be oh so awkward.

To give an idea of what one can expect, the best scenes in my opinion (I still grin just thinking about them), without being spoilery: dominatrix sharing something with a therapist, vibrator, male threesome. The last...I can bet that no one could even think of what is done here, such is its hilarity / absurdity!

I'm Crying At The Discoteque

My life force is being sucked out of me by a professor who uses the phrase "sexy applications," a professor who's just plain boring, and a Hungarian professor who's not as good looking as some people have previously claimed.

All I have are my precious, precious YouTube videos. And disco. Oh, the 80's, how I love you.

(In order of cheesiness):
Sissy - So Long (for the lactose intolerant--no cheese present)
Sophie Ellis Bextor - Catch You
Alcazar - Crying At The Discoteque
Alcazar - Menage à Trois (dangerously cheesy, with a touch of French)

The Golden Globes was seriously messed up. The Office and Heroes were totally shunned. And Cars won over Happy Feet. The Queen seems really popular. Huh. The only bright spot was Hugh Laurie. <3

The Office and Heroes were both signed on for another season! Whee. Makes me want to work at a medium-sized paper supply firm.

Fabulous news! (Thanks OB)

This will be of interest to Twill, Starwing, and *especially* myself. I can barely contain myself. =3

The long and short of it: HBO will be turning Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" into a TV series!! Impressed by HBO's many series like The Sopranos and Rome, Martin once said that if this ever happened, he'd love for HBO to do it. So it was meant to be...

Nothing's cast, written, or shot yet, but it's going to happen. :)

Whoo!

Hot Manwitches!

I miss teen flicks from the 90s, there were so many to choose from. Now, the only teen flicks of recent note are stuff like Accepted, and Bring it on 3: All or nothing! This movie, "The Covenant," came out early last year. So bad, it's good. Mainly because of the eye-candy. From the producers of Underworld, it has special effects. They can move like supernatural werewolves, but you know they're "Bringing it" when their eyes glow fireball red! The hotness of all 4 male leads make up for everything. When white guys don't know kung-fu, they resort to jumping around matrix-style, and throwing balls of water water at each other. You heard right. Balls of water, in slo-mo! Three cheeseballs dripping with liquidy cheesygoodness.

Actually in all seriousness, I did see one good teen flick last year. "She's the Man" It's a cheapo version of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. Amanda Whatshername is oh so convincing as a man.

In K-town, mucho development has occurred. The weather has taken a turn for the worst. So cold, so much windchill. So much snow that doesn't melt! I've been away from the brunt of Alberta weather for so long, it's quite painful here when i face real weather. The other morning, it was like sleeting. I've never even used that word before. It was like a thousand painful diamonds was stabbing me in the face. Must get ski-mask.

I'm doing a simulator stock game for this business class. Any good recommendations for American and Canadian stocks? Apple is screwing me over...

Send me warm chinook thoughts.

p.p.s Looking into housing next year, and very likely, I shall be living with 2 other girls and 3 boys. They better be clean.

Pan's Labyrinth

I finally saw it. It was beautiful and moving, and not at all what I expected. Okay, so the trailer gave away key scenes, but I really didn't know how it was going to be played out. Mexican directors are the next generation people. Encore for Guillermo del Toro, maybe I should go watch Hellboy now. Definetly recommend Alfonso Cuaron's Children of Men too.

I'm sick now, all because of the perpetual rain. Any remedy suggestions?

Children of Men

Just like to say that Children of Men was an amazing movie...

Go see it! I'd paste my review, but that'd be redundant. Just go here.

Windchill

Howdy people,
Amazingly, I found my way back to the blog, because I didn't remember which gmail account I'm supposed to sign in with. I'm safely back in K-town, but I now officially hate buses. I would much rather settle for a Magic School Bus or a transporter or even the Batmobile. Gah. So numb everywhere, but I came back to my sweet empty room filled with the scent of artificial linen smells.

Taking advanced ballroom dancing now, so I'll update you people on how that goes. Twirling can only get better. Good luck in the next semester people, may you encounter mucho pretty people with brains on the inside.

Behold, the movie I should have seen last year, but didn't because I barely knew it existed. Nicholas Cage, how wonderful your movie choices are. Ghostrider and his blazing skull is supposed to be so bad it's good.

p.s. I'm never going to the zoo again, or at least for a few months because Happy Feet opened my eyes. Dance Frodo, Dance!

p.p.s There are haircuts galore, and I'm actually liking the short hair now.

Jan 3. Plans

Hey all!

Here are the plans for tommorrow:

1.) Dim Sum Lunch
2.) Move to Twill's place at around ~1-2PM ishg
3.) Move to Kris' place at around 7PM

For those of you can make it to the dim sum lunch, here are the plans:
-Starwing is going to pick up Natrix and I'm going to pick up Nyx.
-We meet with Kris at Scorpio's place and all cram in to Kris' car to head the restaurant for lunch
-We finish lunch and head back to Twill's place in the afternoon.
-Hang and chill until Desudesu and Obsidian can meet up with us and then head to Kris'.

Like I said before, I'll leave at around 4:ooPM, so I hope that I'll be able to meet up with Desudesu (It's been so long!!!!). But if I get off work at the right time (8-9PM-ish), I'll head over the Kris' aussi.

So ya! Those are the plans! Can't wait for tommorrow!

Owscorpio's version of tomorrow

1. 1:00 Everyone meets at someone's house...offers by Twill, and Nyx(?), and ?? ... sorry I forget
2. 4:00 Desudesu has arrived and we're ready to go
3. Scorpio's insane metabolism won't hold her up without any dinner so we venture to BP
4. Off to Kris's house to watch Lakehouse which I must see
5. Lounge around until we get booted

if the people who can host us in the afternoon can post that then we shall decide what is most convenient. Does that person want us to bring snacks? etc.

tootles poodles
owscorpio

Tomorrow

Okay.

Here is my tentative suggestion, although it's a bit lacking in some details. We meet somewhere around one o'clock and hang out, playing games, sharing first semester stories, and generally socializing our little hearts out. Rubin will leave to go to work full of friends goodness. We carry on and Desudesu arrives, fresh from work and ready to party (also avec mon poster tube?). With a bit of luck/planning, there are enough vehicles to get everyone to Kris' house for chicken fingers, DVDs and other finger foods around 7. I have no thoughts on when it ends, but I guess it's variable for everyone? Alternatively, if everyone prefers to go out for dinner, we could always, once Desudesu arrives, decide on a restaurant and take off in that direction.

I'll need to check on apartment stuff, but I think I can offer that much for an initial meeting place. If someone else wants to harbor us for a few hours, though, that would also be fun and awesome. Whatever floats everyone's boats.

Sound good? Bad? Ugly?

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone!
Hopefully you spent it well with someone meaningful. Make your New Year's Resolutions, but I doubt people will keep with all of them. May 2007 be even more eventful than 2006. We're all going to be turning 20! No more teens for us!
