Get Together, anyone?

Hey hey!!!

Natrix called me today with news about us going to the Fringe Fest, but sadly, I have a shift at Starbucks on that day.... I'm trying to get it covered by a co-worker, but so far, to no avail.

But Natrix calling me gave me a thought: would any of you being willing to do another Yearly Homage? We don't need to get together specficially at anyone's house, but we could go and grab a lunch or something or a cup of coffee at Starbucks!!! or we could hang out at the Oolong Tea House down in Kensington (I love that place... see... i don't hate all non-Starbucks coffee places, I just hate Second Cup! and plus, Oolong is all about tea and Starbucks is all about coffee... so if the two combine forces, they could TAKE OVER THE WORLD OF CAFFINATED BEVERAGES!!!!)

So ya... my schedule is all clear from Aug 21-Aug 29... phone/email/post to give me some feedback!

Btw, I've seen results with your coffees and here are some of my view points on the "Sure Thing" coffees:

Natrix: Caffè Verona is an AWESOME coffee... it's my most favourite bold coffee and it goes great with chocolate (apparently it's the Starbucks endorsed dessert/dinner-party coffee. Gold Coast has a bit more of a flavour punch to it and I find it a dash too powerful. I haven't tried, but I've heard that Arabian Mocha Java and French Roast are too bold for most tastes.

Nyx: They don't ALL sound bad.... Caffè Verona, i forgot to mention is very eloquent tasting (how can a coffee be "eloquent" tasting? Well... once you try a wide range of coffees, you'll be able to tell the difference). Yukon roast I prefer over Gold coast and I just tried Italian Roast and it's not that bad... it's not as bold as others that I've tried and is very mellow tasting. (Btw... maybe the goddess of indie films, procrastination and cyncism would be better than "mung bean juice"... but that's just me)

Twill: I think you would enjoy House Blend... it's very smooth and mellow... it's not as light as Breakfast, but it's not as overpoweringly bold as say... Sumatra... very nice in between coffee..... I think that if you had the opprutunity to do a coffee tasting with me, you would also like my personal favourite: Serena Organic Blend!!!!

Sigh... see what working at Starbucks for a summer has done to me? Maybe I should takeover Nyx's position as coffee goddess and become "god of the earth, humanity and all creation, demi-god of coffee!!!!" (why demi-god, you ask? Well to be fair, I want to ensure that everyone has the same number of things that they are responsible for in their god/goddess titles.... so if I have four things in my title, it would only be right add one more thing to everyone else's titles... and I wouldn't be too happy with memorizing a new set of titles after they've been ingrained in my head for so many years....)

First - if you would be so kind, could you change my rl name for my psuedonym please? Just, y'know, for privacy and stuff. Thanks.

Second - why yes, sure, some sort of final get together before we all separate once more would be great. I'm free after August 21 for suggestions 'n' negotiations.

Ah... my most sincere apologies to you Twill... you have noticed that I have changed the names in my recent post!

Alas... I couldn't not find a co-worker to take over my shift on Wednesday (btw, this particular shift is an odd-ball shift because of the fact that I'm acutally being sent to another store to work for the day...)
