saturday

alright, so no one has really responded yet...not surprisingly, but still!
When I say lunch, I'm not going to specify a time as such because it doesn't matter for me, it's up to you guys. Otherwise i will just arbitrarily set a time like i did the date. Also location I'd like to leave up to a calgary person who might have an idea. personally i was aiming for something like outback steakhouse (where i will get a discount) and it's relatively cheaper for a huge meal...although that's moredinner so it would be like late afternoon get together that ended up at a restaurant or whatever it is. No one has mentioned any conflicts on this day...nor any ideas on the karaoke bar...can't really set anything unless i know what u guys are interested in doing.

Next week we should try to plan a day to go to the club. Those who are working should post their schedules ahead of time...same goes for people with a lot of dinner parties that have to be scheduled around.

I think it's too hard to do boxing day unless someone calls and says they're interested, so I'll drop that.

ooh so christmas is lke...a few hours away...better get to bed!
Night night

I don't have any problems going to Outback.

Since the closest one for most of us is in Crowfoot, do you guys want to watch the Curious Case of Benjamin Button? It's out today, and we'll hope it's not packed full.

I don't know any karaoke bars, unfortunately.

I don't think Outback exists in Crowfoot anymore, if I remember correctly. And according to their website, it's only in Edmonton in Alberta. I could be wrong, though. So what's a good backup?

I wouldn't mind doing something in Dalhousie, if possible, since that's easy for most people to get there. And there's Boston Pizza, Earls, Kelsey's (I think) and maybe some other places. But I'm kind of good for anything so long as it's not too expensive. I'd also be up for a movie, and if the vote is for Ben Button then I have no problems :)

And I, too, know no bars. Not even karaoke bars.

I will tell you guys right now that karaoke bars in Calgary--ALL of them--are filled with giggly asians. Not joking. I really don't enjoy it.

The bars us artsy folks typically go to include the Hop 'n Brew, Drum and Monkey, and one in Kensington I can't recall the name of... Ship and Anchor is also fairly common, on 17th I think. By far the first is very popular. It's very homey, because it's literally like a renovated small house, very casual.
