PC Xmas list

Well, it's 1 day after the last day of school!! So I'm pretty recovered.

Hate to pepper this place with lists, but I keep getting pressed. :P You know, with this Secret Santa thing...that's fantastic, because I have a really, really short list! And now people can't pester me for a longer one, because it need only concern one person. Yay!

Well then, here we go.

Books
The Bone Doll's Twin (and its series, by Lynn Flewelling)
I actually dunno who she is, but anyone who knows anything of what I read, see this. If you know what's significant to me there on that cover, then you know why I'm super curious to see what it's all about. :)

Outliers: The Story of Success (by Malcolm Gladwell, who is pure genius)

CDs
Radio Retaliation (by Thievery Corporation)
A Midwinter Night’s Dream (by Loreena McKennitt)

DVDs
Pushing Daisies Season 1

That's more than sufficient, I imagine. I'd encourage the remainder who have put up a list to please do so for the upcoming Secret Santa.

Natrix, you fanboy... -.-'

I'm familiar with Flewelling. I do like her and have read every novel she's put out but one. And I'd say The Bone Doll's Twin is one of the better fantasies I've read. It's not groundbreaking, but its exploration of gender identity is quite bold. Don't be surprised by latent homosexuality, though Flewelling doesn't 'flaunt' it like some authors do.

Would you like to borrow parts of her Nightrunner series? I have like... 2 books. XP

See? See?? His endorsement is all I need! :)

Well, I had told you that I was reading Dream Songs, which is essentially a good portion of his other work. I'm almost finished both volumes, and I'm super impressed overall. So, I am fairly confident in his opinions, because he has fairly high standards.

So you're right, a fanboy!!

And I doubt latent or even BLATANT homosexuality could offend me in books or otherwise, but thanks for the warning. If I get The Bone Doll's Twin and like it, I'll see about borrowing Nightrunner, but that first to make sure Mr. Martin's not off his rocker. :D
