No, the night was X-rated, it was just the lasting result of it was XX. I didn't pack the proper ID, so I didn't get a nifty bracelet, and got big ugly X's on my hands to show that I was not supposed to drink. Oh well.
The night was a blast, not exactly what I was expecting, but still oodles and oodles of fun. The theme this year was "Shades of Midnight," so the dress code was black and white, but screw it, I looked better in the purple dress. But I still had a black dress as backup. When I went to my friend's place for the pre-drink, like all the girls were in black. My other friend was worried because she was wearing white, and it made her stand out. Imagine how I felt in my purple dress!
And then the drinking started, and in typical Asian fashion, the boys got red, really fast. It was actually lots of fun, the drinking game that we did play. Let's just said it involved sitting in laps and quacking. Not sure if any of you guys have played that one...
And then we took a school bus to the location, a crowded Asian filled school bus. They didn't have enough room for everyone to sit, so lots of people had to stand. I don't think that's allowed. I was really happy to see that not all the girls followed the dress code. Scandulous colors. Not really, I saw a girl in peach. And other girls totally dressed down. I mean, it is a semi-formal. Not ghetto leggings night. And some guys totally thought they could get away with jeans. Yuck. I mean, spend some effort here. Looking above them all from the balcony, everyone kinda looked the same, because most girls wore black halter dresses with dangly bits on the bottom. I felt purple-special.
And the place where we went to, Portsmouth, was very nice. Coatchecking and everything. And then dancing. Dancing until our dresses fell off, which it didn't. Let's just say it was really really hot, and I wished I had on a shorter dress and less clothing, and tied my hair up.
If I could change anything, it would be to have more comfortable shoes. They weren't as painful as Joyce's, which some of you might remember from high school Philosophy club, which were too pretty, but too pretty impractical to wear. But as soon as the night was over, my legs gave out, and I was hobbling my way home with my friend as a crutch.
All and all, lots and lots of fun. No hooking up with tall, dark and handsome though. How sad. There's always next year. I'll send pictures when they're downloaded.

lol.... was thing you went to a Pub/club Crawl??? Lol! too bad you didn't have proper ID... moderate drinking followed by crazy dancing is THE BEST! (I really enjoy the dancing, not so much the drinking... I remember for my Orientation Volunteer Appreciation Party that I power-slammed two beers and spent the rest of the night on the dance floor)
Purple isn't THAT bad; I mean, you can't even tell the difference in the dark lighting of a typical club (and at least it's not as scandalous as the peach). AND EWWW! JEANS AT A SEMI-FORMAL EVENT??? FASHION TRAVESTY!!! SIN!!! SIN!!!!
Too bad you didn't hookup with tall, dark and handsome... If it makes you feel any better, I've never managed to hook up with tall, dark and handsome whenever I went out *tear drop*...
GET THOSE PICTURES UP ASAP!!!
Purple to me is still a midnight colour, along with indigo. However, I do recognize that it had the word "Shades" in it, so that would only really mean black, white, and greys... But maybe they weren't thinking on such terms?
Hehe, that's funny about the Asian thing and drinking, because it's so true. On the most part I guess, because when it comes to alcohol, I'm a frickin' tank. Carol is too, if you know her...she was surprised at me.
