St. Paddy's Day

Girls have too many issues, and boys mess with your mind. That is a gross gross generalization, but that's how I've been feeling these past few days. It would all be better if we were still in elementary school.

My friend is taking me out to celebrate St. Patrick's Day tomorrow to a genuine irishy pub. Hopefully, I won't reek of smoke when I come back. But it's fun, because I've been deprived, and my friend knows all the hidden sites of Kingston. She's made it her goal to take me to everywhere worth seeing and experiencing in Kingston.

On another note, I finally saw Shortbus. Not exactly what I was expecting, but when I heard who the director/producer was, I wasn't really surprised. He also did that thing about Hedwig. It was certaintly different, but definetly not something I would watch in a movie theater. I did like the 3-D intro thingy in the beginning. I was also reading review of it, and I wasn't surprised when a lot of people didn't like parts of it, especially the gay sex parts. Guys are always saying they like watching lesbian sex, cause it's "hot" but as soon as you see two guys doing it, they all have to 'fast forward.' I don't recommend it for everyone, but if you're willing to be open minded, then go for it. Probably not for Em though... Avert your eyes Em!

For that movie, it's hard to find impartial reviews, but they exist. If Roger Ebert had seen it, for example, I don't think he'd have minded. I recall he once lamented that Alexander (not that I've seen it or plan to, bad as everyone says it is) was not gay enough? Or something. Either play it up or leave it alone altogether sorta deal.

Yes, it's hypocritical for guys to say that, and a lot do. I can't say it's because of hatred though, as my conclusion is just everyone is afraid in a sense of their own bodies. Case in point is a lot of ppl at school (I as well) know and are friends with a very out gay guy. Treated like everyone else, but any talk of certain acts gets most to nervously chuckle. All are pro everything gays are after, but would rather just not dwell on private moments.

WOOOOOOO!!!! St. Patrick's Day!!! BREAK OUT THE BOOZE! IT'S TIME TO GET HAMMERED!!! and after that, LET'S MEET ON THE DANCE FLOOR!!!

*Sigh*... I wish I could do that... instead, I'll be doing a term paper... *grumbles* Oh well, I'll have a celebratory drink/beer later on tonight.... have a drink and celebrate for me!

Ugh! I so want to watch Shortbus! It is totally my kind of movie! Saw the previews for it and LOVED it.... must watch it soon...... You know... I've always wanted to ask my gal pals who are comfortable with it, but if guys find lesbian sex "hot", do gals find gay sex "hot"? (Answer if you feel comfortable... but I've always been curious...)

Have a good weekend!

Aren't we mysterious, Obsidian?? :P

Much of my female friends swoon over such things, claiming any girl who says it does nothing for them is lying...

My sister has remarked that she finds it neither appealing nor unappealing. So is she lying? XD

Well now I have to answer to that... But I think I could talk about it better in person. It really doesn't do anything for me. It's only hot if the guys are hot. Yes, how superficial. I wouldn't say it's swoonworthy. Although I'm not sure if we're talking about homosexual love or homosexual hot man sex. I'd swoon over the love, because of the romance and the mushiness. Although now that I think about it, it is hot. Just look at that canceled show Queer as Folk. Boy, were they hot. It was gratuitous cable-tv man sex, but at least they were pretty.
