Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?

$2,000 question (1st grade animal science):

True or false? In the wild, polar bears typically feed on penguins.

Constestant: "I'm going to have to [cheat and] peek at Laura's answer."

$25,000 question (2nd grade US geography):

What country has the longest shared border with the United States?

Contestant: "I'm going to say Mexico."

Not to mention all the really easy math questions that nobody seems to get right...

I'm so freaking jealous of Americans. Yes, let's all reward the stupid by giving them insane amounts of money.

You have no idea how much that show pisses me off as well.

It was in the background a few nights when I was doing homework during school when the show was still new, and my brother checked it out. SO GRATING. My gosh, I followed one contestant's progress, and easily beat the loser without using any helps. Dunno how far I woulda went, because he or she stopped.

I will admit that I couldn't answer all of it, HOWEVER, 99% of these dealt with America, states, etc. One other one that stumped me was how many miles the earth was away from the sun (useless numerical fact, according to me), and one of the *-assic periods when a certain class of animals thrived. Oh well.
